I like people. After all I am one. But I like other people too. Which is probably why I’ve taken to writing about them. When my husband and I were called to go to China to teach English at a small college there, we were thrilled. As I wrote e-mails of our life in China to family and friends at home, Robert collected them to make a monthly overall report of our adventures. These were the basis for this book, Days Like Floating Water. English was my major in school; I taught occasionally while our children were small. We traveled all over the world since my husband served in the army. Reading and writing have been my passion. I’ve won a few writing awards over the years. My interest in people surfaced in the artwork I continued to do. “Peoplescapes” I call them, and I’ve been delighted that they’ve been recognized too. Our three children are grown now, with children of their own. This is a whole new avenue of delight for me. They are supportive of my writing and artwork. We all live relatively near one another in central California. Life continues to be an enormous adventure to me.
